Good morning everyone! It’s turning out to be a rainy day here on the Peninsula and wouldn’t you know it….I have a “million”places to go. So, before I start getting myself ready to face the wet conditions and crazy drivers on the road, I thought I’d feature another talented Etsy guy.
His name is William Rosenberg of New Castle, Colorado and his shop is Mountain Ursus Designs. Let me just say that they produce some wonderfully unique items! If there’s any question as to where to spend those Etsy gift cards you got for the holidays, Mountain Ursus Designs is a great option.
William and his family I live in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and enjoy making things together. Because they live off the grid, they use solar energy to run their remote home. William designs and creates jewelry, accessories, fiber art fashions and expressions in wood.
Every jewelry item and wood ring box in his shop is handcrafted by William himself, where he spends countless hours on research, material composition, quality, integrity and spiritual influence.
Additionally, William’s wife, Helena Al-Kubaisi, who is from the Big Island of Hawaii, designs and creates vegan bags, dog treat bags and sea shell ring boxes. William works closely with Helena, as well as designer and assistant, Sandy Burns.
William was raised in Durango, Colorado. He is inspired by the ocean and mountains in which he and his family have lived. His designs are handcrafted from living among the mountainous terrain and the flora and fauna found around their home. William’s son Flynn and daughter Kallista bring him much inspiration and enthusiasm as they grow and learn about their natural world.
